Product Description |
| Here's a perfect movie for kids, who never seem to tire of John Hughes's sure-fire slapstick formula. Working yet another variation on his mammoth 1990 hit, writer-producer Hughes (regarded by many as Hollywood's antichrist) strands a youngster in his own home with the chicken pox in this 1997 retelling. While his parents go to work, he sees a team of burglars invading the neighborhood houses; in fact, they're spies, looking for a toy containing a stolen microchip. The inevitability of the finale--one kid holding off four professionals with toys and garden tools--will do nothing to lessen the amusement of youngsters, who love to see the bad guys get creamed. Adults may pause at the sadistic nature of some of Hughes's pranks, but kids will eat up the image of one of their own outwitting all the adults. --Marshall Fine |

| Its a great home alone, but I miss the boy who will always be the classic Kevin, Mucullay Culkin. But Alex D Lindz does it pretty good too. I love to watch this movie! This one though, is a lot different from the normal home alone story lines where Kevin has been lost or forgotten in someplace. Now Kevin is home sick with the Chicken Pox and must save his street from two burglars, (who have also been replaced by different actors)And Kevins trickery really isnt as classic and planned out bright minded and everything like the last two. But I guess its a good movie anyhow, though I do recomend the other two over this one. |

| My 8-year-old niece says that this is the best movie she's ever seen, and she can describe every scene in it. She likes it more than the first two Home Alones, and thinks it is VERY funny. On her behalf, I am giving it a top vote. |
Lot of action & investigation inside a funny movie

Though not as funny as the other two movies, since I found myself laughing only when the stunts began (I was laughing through the whole other two movies). It has good action & investigation, great for children, and also fun to watch for adults.
The plot is very interesting, it will keep you at the edge of your seat. Since the villains are professionals now (and more realistic), they act serious, therefore the stunts are not as funny. In the first two, the villains were so stupid you could laugh at the sight of them (they ocasionally cursed at Kevin which sounded so funny).
The Christmas message is totally gone here however (even though it IS during the Christmas season), they could've made this movie at any other time in winter and you wouldn't have noticed the difference. No Christmas music, no reunions, no Church or Christmas tree, etc. (some decorations though).
If you're looking for a nice child action movie (and you don't pursue the Christmas scenario) this is the movie for you & your family. However if you want a Christmas family movie that will keep you laughing for weeks you'll be better off getting any of the other two. Or get them all, all of them are good! I've got the trio so I should know.
The use of pets as part of the stunts was a great idea, it adds fun to the whole scene. The parrot is my favorite. |

For spring break me, my mom, my mom`s friend and her children went to Colorado for vaction. Every day, after we went
skiing we`d rent a movie and watch it intill 11:00 PM or 12:00 AM. So on night my friend`s 7-year-old brother checked this out and we were entertained! I say, if this kept two 10-year-olds (Me and my friend) and a 7-year-old (my friends brother) happy, this will be good for the whole family. Oh and stop hating this cuz the actor changed! Its STILL a really good film. |

| i watched this movie when i was about six or four years old and i never went anywhere without it i took this movie everywhere i even remember one time i took the movie to daycare how funny! anyways this movie is a great movie for the whole family its funny and very entertaining its the best home alone movie ever made although there are more home alone movies i'd have to say this one is the best!!! i love this movie! and as for the people who didint like this movie well thats their problem as for the people who are thinking about watching this movie please go ahead and try and watch it its funny,cute,and very entertaing!! |
