| Similar to another reviewer, we had issues with the kickstand. However, aside from that, this has been a wonderful bike for my son! He is now 14 and about 5'6" and the bike still suits him with a little seat adjustment. He loves this bike and has used it like a bmx bike as well as general riding. At one point, we needed to add some Slime to the tires and that solved the issue since he was jumping on it a lot. My bike (a high end dual suspension mountain bike) doesn't even have a kick stand. So, that complaint is just silly. :) |
does Schwinn name still count?

I bought this for my kid. It had Schwinn name and was cheap enough. After assembling (not too hard), my kid sat on it and the kick stand broke.
I think it is the pretension of it. Not every part should be light, but lightness is the fad and the kick stand was soft aluminum that twisted before snapping in the middle. Not impressed, so returned the bicycle. I will go to either bicycle shop (may be too expensive) or sports authority where I can visually and physically check the item. |
